The emergency dentistry process

1

Initial phone call

If your child has a dental emergency, start by calling our office. We offer same-day emergency care during regular office hours for all patients, whether you’re new or established. Our team will help assess the situation over the phone and determine if immediate treatment is needed. For existing patients only, we also provide after-hours support. If your child’s emergency occurs outside of business hours, you can reach our on-call doctor through our emergency voicemail system for guidance and care.

2

In-office evaluation

Once your child arrives, we’ll perform a thorough but gentle exam, take any necessary X-rays, and identify the cause of the problem. We always communicate clearly with parents about the treatment plan and any options available.

3

Treatment and follow-up

We provide fast, effective treatment to relieve discomfort and protect your child’s dental health. Our goal is to stabilize the issue and follow up with any additional care as needed, making sure your child leaves feeling better and supported.

Frequently asked questions

"Explorer Kids was amazing!! My 2 year old son struggled previously cooperating with our regular dentist so we sought out a pediatric dentist and they truly worked their magic!! He was so happy and they were able to get a cleaning and exam in. I’m so grateful!! Highly recommend."
